Question about weapons in CB - Guild Wars Forums

In Costume Brawl I see a lot of people wielding weapons of another profession, like Warriors wielding spears, spellcasters with Swords, Rangers with Hammers etc. Can anyone explain what use this has, as for example Warriors only get sword skills... right?

Well the first reason is people in CB are stupid and sometimes don't realise they have to change weapon when their skills change. The ranger probably had a bunny thumper build, and didn't realise that wouldn't really work etc.

The other possibility is to gain benefits. For example, a caster might have a shield and spear set for defence.

I can't think of any other reason..

warriors with spear - charge adren from a distance
caster with sword - defence set/energy hiding
ranger with hammer - swapped to wrong weapon/running hammer stuff/newbie
